Dr. Kohel has worked in a variety of settings including skilled nursing homes, home health, and outpatient orthopedic clinics from Alaska to Florida. Brenda is well versed in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions that cause pain and deficits, limiting the body’s functional well-being. Dr. Kohel enjoys implementing the best treatment approach and technique to simplify the rehabilitation process for her clients.
Dr. Kohel received her Master's of Physical Therapy from Concordia University in Wisconsin in 1999. After practicing for 12 years, she returned to complete her Clinical Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Kohel is certified in Geriatrics (GCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association since 2006, and in Lymphedema (CLT) through Cedar Haven Rehabilitation since 2002 and returned for further education for lymphedema and wound care (CLWT) from the International Lymphedema and Wound Institute in 2020.
Dr. Kohel has over 20 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, lymphedema (cancer, surgical, and congenital related) and phlebolymphedema, acute inpatient care including ICU, pre/post-surgical care, wellness training, falls prevention, neuro rehab, vestibular, and injury preventions. She works with patients of all ages and a variety of activity levels.
Dr. Kohel spends her free time traveling across the US, fishing, hiking and spending time with her family and friends. Brenda has found a balance between her work and play, by making time for herself and finding a career that she enjoys. She is a well-rounded therapist that works hard to find solutions to your body ailments and wellness roadblocks.
