More about Dr. Sapna Patel
Sapna has practiced in a variety of settings including outpatient, acute care, pediatrics and aquatic therapy, but currently focuses on orthopedics. She believes in mastering the basics and building a solid foundation to prevent injury to lead a more active and fulfilling life with less pain.
Dr. Patel received her Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a B.A. in Exercise Sports Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005. She graduated with her Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011.

Dr. Patel is Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Screen (FMS) certified. She is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling through Double E PT Education. Dr. Patel also practices instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization as well as kinesiotaping.
Dr. Patel has 10 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, pre/post-surgical care, and injury prevention. She has also worked with patients on gait and balance impairments. Sapna has worked with patients as young as three and as old as in their mid 90s. Sapna has personal experience with injuries that sidelined her from activities she enjoys and knows firsthand the physical and mental tolls these injuries can have. Sapna believes that recovery is a process that involves more than just the muscles and joints.
Sapna likes to stay active as she continues to play women’s and co-ed soccer, and sand volleyball. She also enjoys hiking, rock wall climbing and stand up paddleboard. She also enjoys creative pursuits such as calligraphy and painting.
